FRANKTON, Ind. - Frankton police didn't have to look far to bust a methamphetamine lab, which officers found only a few yards away from a city's police station.

The Herald Bulletin reported that Frankton police received a tip that a man living a short walk from the Frankton Police Station and Fire Department was making meth.

Officers arrested 28-year-old David J. Stapleton on Tuesday after finding him with cold medications and hazardous ingredients used to make meth, police said.

A probable cause affidavit says Stapleton was living in his father's home and has been blocked from buying meth precursors six times in the past year.

Stapleton faces felony charges that include manufacturing meth and maintaining a common nuisance. He remained jailed Thursday on a $20,000 bond at the Madison County Jail.
