INDIANAPOLIS – Need an excuse to getaway to Las Vegas? Frontier airlines’ new flight option can get you straight from Indy to the Sin City in a couple of hours.

On Tuesday, company officials announced they will begin weekly service to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas beginning in July. Flights will leave Indy on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays year-round.

As an introductory price, Frontier will offer one-way fares from Indy to Vegas for as low as $59.

Flights to the west from the city’s airport have expanded over the past year, with Southwest adding a nonstop seasonal flight to San Diego from June through August and Allegiant Airlines adding a nonstop flight to Austin, Texas year-round.

Alaska Airlines will also join Indy’s airport line up in May, bringing a long-awaited flight to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

“Our airline partners are investing in Indy, and we’re seeing that with the growth of nonstop flights and destinations,” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “That investment is what contributes to the historic year we had in 2016, and increases the value the Indianapolis airport provides to the city and the state.”
