INDIANAPOLIS - Gas prices in Indiana shot up to near $4 a gallon on Tuesday.
A gallon of unleaded gas sold for $3.95 at the Speedway station on South West Street and Kentucky Avenue in downtown Indianapolis.
On Monday, the price per gallon was about $3.80.
AAA reported a national average of $3.85.
According to industry reports, crude oil prices have remained steady. However, gas prices typically increase as warmer weather approaches.
