Gen Con Indy 2013 sets record attendance
20 percent growth from 2012 crowd

INDIANAPOLIS - The numbers are in for Gen Con Indy 2013 and officials said it was another record-breaking year for attendance.
The convention wrapped up Sunday at the Indiana Convention Center and drew a crowd of 159,000 people over the four-day event.
That is a growth of 20 percent over last year’s record-setting crowd.
The attendees experienced 12,000 gaming and entertainment events and more than 350 company exhibits.
Officials said that over the past five years, the convention has grown by 75 percent.
Gen Con generates an estimated $47 million in economic impact for Indianapolis each year.
Gen Con Indy 2014 will take place at the convention center from Aug. 14 through Aug. 17.
