DECATUR COUNTY, Ind. - A 15-year-old girl was killed in a crash Tuesday night at an intersection in Decatur County, police said.
The crash was reported just before 6 p.m. on State Road 3 at County Road 500 North when a 2002
Pontiac sedan was headed east on CR 500 N. Police said the Pontiac ran the stop sign at the intersection and drove into the path of an oncoming 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck. The Pontiac was struck on the passenger side. The impact of the crash caused the truck to flip and land on the passenger side of the car, police said.
The passenger in the Pontiac, Lindsay Noah, 15, of Clarksburg, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her brother, Isaiah Noah, 18, of Clarksburg, was the driver. He was rushed to IU Methodist Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck, Rebecca Smith, 62, was taken to Decatur County Memorial Hospital for possible internal injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled. Police did not say if any charges would be filed.
