INDIANAPOLIS -- It started with a small act of kindness and grew into something much more.

Just before Thanksgiving, Hannah Manton and her brother Dylan decided to donate two bags of their gently used stuffed animals to Brebeuf's school resource officer.

Their mom's a math teacher at the school.

Police officers often keep stuffed animals in their cars help comfort children during traumatic situations.

Hannah's donation was pretty popular. So popular in fact that the school resource officer said he'd already handed all the toys out by the end of Christmas break.

Hannah decided to do more. She organized a toy drive at her school and her mom asked her students at Brebeuf to help out.

They collected over 450 stuffed animals at Brebeuf and more than 200 at Hannah's after-school program.

To show their appreciation, IMPD presented certificates to the students at Brebeuf and at Hannah's school.

Mrs. Manton was also presented with a special token from IMPD.
