BROWN COUNTY, Ind. - A Greenwood man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a tractor in Brown County on Friday afternoon.
Louis Sitter, 49, was killed in the accident on Salt Creek Road just after 12 p.m., state police said.
Police said Sitter was heading southbound toward State Road 46 and lost control of his motorcycle. He went into the path of the Brown County Highway Department Grader Tractor.
Police said the driver of the tractor "took evasive action," but he was not able to avoid Sitter.
Officials said they had no reason to believe that the tractor driver was under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, but he did submit to a chemical test, as is required by Indiana law.
