GREENWOOD, Ind. - A Greenwood man found running outside in his pajamas, screaming that a dinosaur was chasing him, was arrested after bragging to police about his massive drug stash, investigators said.
Officers were called to the 800 block of Kings Mill Road in the Polo Run Apartment Complex on Thursday night on a report of a disturbance.
They found Edward A. Kirk III, 19, running down the street screaming about a dinosaur and saying that there were aliens in his apartment, police said.
Kirk told officers he was "tripping on acid" after taking 30 hits of LSD, according to a police report.
Officers said Kirk proudly showed them his "stash box" with 1,000 doses of LSD inside, and admitted that he sold acid, calling it "the people's work," police said.
The Greenwood Fire Department hazmat team was called in after officers became concerned that Kirk may be running a clandestine drug production lab.
A search turned up LSD; ketamine, a veterinary anesthetic; DMT, a hallucinogen; psilocybin mushrooms; marijuana; and other drugs, police said.
Kirk was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out before he was arrested.
He faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of maintaining a common nuisance, reckless possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.
Kirk was released from the Johnson County Jail after posting a $40,000 bond.
