NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Hamilton County homeowners experienced some of the worst flooding from the heavy rain that hit the Indianapolis area earlier this week.

Blake Bolden, who said he always wanted a riverfront property, found his home to look much like a lakefront house these days.

“I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned, but that's why we pay the high premiums on the flood insurance,” said Bolden.

The Riverwood neighborhood where Bolden lives floods a couple of times a year, as it is near the White River, but he said the rain won’t make him move.

“I’m an outdoors guy,” said Bolden. “I’ll take the risk for a couple weeks of flooding. A riverfront property around this area is hard to find.”

While the high river may be a concern for some, county officials said the flooding did not cause any evacuations.
