CARMEL, Ind. - A road closure in Hamilton County could affect your commute for the rest of the month.
Construction crews plan to close 111th Street beginning Monday for work on the future overpass of U.S. 31.
When it’s finished, 111th Street will cross over the highway, having no access to U.S. 31. 106th and 116th streets will still have access to the highway.
111th Street will close from just west of Tottenham Drive (west of U.S. 31) to Illinois Street for roughly three weeks. Residents of Tottenham Drive will still have access to the highway, but not to Illinois Street.
Construction of the 111th Street bridge over U.S. 31 is expected to last roughly six months.
