Televangelist Joel Osteen to sign copies of his new book at Carmel Barnes and Noble

CARMEL, Ind. -- Houston televangelist Joel Osteen is coming to Carmel for a book signing next week.

Osteen has written several books, including several New York Times bestsellers. He’ll be at the Barns and Noble at 1479 Greyhound Plaza in Carmel on Tuesday, November 7 to sign copies of his newest book, “Blessed in the Darkness.” The event starts at noon.

The book was released last month.

Osteen is the pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston and was under fire recently for his church’s response to Hurricane Harvey victims.

His 17,000-seat church was reportedly closed to evacuees as Harvey dumped up to 24 inches of rain on the Houston area. After intense social media criticism, Osteen said his church had never been closed, despite the church tweeting “Lakewood Church is accessible due to severe flooding!”
