HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- Two Hamilton County schools were given the all clear after a pair of bomb threats were called in on Wednesday afternoon.

Fishers police say they believe the threatening calls came in simultaneously to both Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School.

Police say they followed protocol following those threats, but cannot release the details of what that protocol is.

Hamilton County Schools sent the following email to parents following the threat.

Parents,

Both high schools received bomb threats today around 11 a.m. this morning. Police were contacted immediately and School Safety procedures were followed. High school students were evacuated and both schools were searched and cleared.  Students have returned to classes and the day is proceeding as usual.

Surrounding schools were put on secured perimeter with no students allowed outside during this period of time as a precaution. Those procedures have been lifted as well.

We are proud of the way our students and staff responded during this time and appreciate our local law enforcement’s prompt response in keeping our schools safe.

Parents at both schools say their students were evacuated from the school while the buildings were cleared.
