Humane Society of Hamilton Co. to provide free microchips for pets

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- If you've ever lost a pet, perhaps the thought of "if I only had a tracking device on them, then I'd never lose them" may have run through your mind.

The Humane Society of Hamilton County is hosting a free microchip event on Saturday, September 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., where you can your pet chipped for free.

The event will be held at Kahlo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 9900 Pleasant Street, in Noblesville.

Kahlo will provide the free microchips, a maximum of two chips per family, to the first 50 animals at the event.

After 50 pets have been microchipped, additional cats and dogs may still get chips at the discounted rate of only $10 per pet.
