BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- People who live in Brownsburg really like it there.

A 2017 Citizen Survey of Brownsburg residents shows nine in ten residents rate their town as a good or excellent place to live.

The survey shows residents of the Hendricks County town rank the school system, housing affordability and quality of life very favorably. Over 90 percent taking the survey gave a positive rating for the overall feeling of safety in the town.

The Citizen Survey asked a random sample of 1,500 residents to answer a wide range of questions about their community. Survey questions ask residents to rate items such as public safety, recreation, ease of travel, services provided by the town, employment opportunities and much more. The town of Brownsburg conducts the survey every 2 years. This is another way for residents to be heard in addition to public meetings.

Results of the survey help the town of Brownsburg plan for the future. More than 400 municipalities across the country have used the survey conducted by the National Research Center. This allows the town to compare their survey results with similar communities.
