NORTHWEST INDIANA -- Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton made stops in Hammond and Mishawaka on Tuesday.

Clinton visited Munster Steel in Hammond and the AM General auto plant in Mishawaka.

She's trying to convince undecided voters in Indiana that she's the candidate who will protect and bring back manufacturing jobs.

"Now I've been following what's been happening in Indiana and I've read about some of the large layoffs and jobs being moved out of Indiana and even the country -- I've read about Carrier and I've got a set of plans that will incentive companies to treat workers like the assets that they are, not costs to be cut, and it's important that we do everything possible to make any company that ships jobs overseas to pay back any tax benefits they got from the American people," said Clinton.

The average of all current polls at realclearpolitics.com gives Clinton a four-point lead over Bernie Sanders in Indiana, with one week to go until the primary here.
