BOONE COUNTY, Ind. – Severe storms in central Indiana left a path of damage to several homes and cars Wednesday evening.

Homeowners in Boone County believe they were hit the hardest as the storm carrying hail and high winds, was strong enough to put holes into the siding of houses and knock over seven electric poles along 600 West.

“I came out to look at my wife's car and it got hit pretty bad,” said Frank Quirin. “I was kind of in shock. I never seen hail do that.”

He said during the storm his family took cover in a room with no windows.

“Hail hit the house and the windows,” said Quirin.” I thought it was going to break all the windows in the house but I was praying, and then it was gone. Thank God I'm still alive and the house stood...I’m thankful for that.”
