ANDERSON, Ind. - After little snow last winter, Hoosiers are getting reacquainted with snow this week.
A second snowstorm hit the state Friday, and some areas near Anderson saw up to 6 inches of fresh snow.
“This was a surprise and the snow was so pretty last night that it wasn’t that big of a deal,” said Anderson resident Emily Tudor.

Many were delighted by the snowfall and took it upon themselves to make sure other friends and neighbors were taken care of.
“A buddy of mine is a disabled vet and he lives down the road there. I went down and tried to shovel him out so he wouldn’t have to do it himself,” said Terry Burton of Anderson.
Other residents in Anderson gathered together to help build a snow fort.
“We used all the snow in this lot for this one, so we had to wait until we got more snow for this one,” Chris Hodson said.
Don’t put away the shovels just yet; more snow and freezing temperatures are ahead in the forecast early next week.
