INDIANAPOLIS - A family of seven was displaced from their home early Thursday after their house caught fire.
Just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, Indianapolis Fire Crews were called to the 4000 block of North Elizabeth Street on reports of a structure fire near 42 nd Street and Shadeland Avenue.
The family, including five children, was able to escape the blaze without any injuries.
"It happened so quickly. (I heard) a boom, and then I saw fire coming out," neighbor Michelle Kendrick said.
Crews said they estimated $90,000 in damages.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
