HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. -- A 180-foot radio tower fell in Russiaville, Indiana, due to Wednesday night's severe storms.

The tower snapped at the base, and was laying across the road, bringing power lines down with it.

The fallen tower caused a power outage at the IGA grocery store in Russiaville, the only grocery store in town. One of the workers had trouble getting to the store because of the storm damage.

"It was hard," IGA employee Jennifer Philips said. "The very first road I went on had downed trees. I had to back up to the next crossroad. There were downed logs and trees. It took several alternative routes to get here."

There were no reported injuries caused by the tower.
