IMPD: 15-year-old shot in east-side robbery

Sent to Eskenazi, is now stable

INDIANAPOLIS - During an overnight robbery on the far east side of Indianapolis, armed men shot one teenager in the stomach, police confirmed.

Indianapolis police (IMPD) said the robbery and shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Ireland Drive, near Francis Scott Key School 103.

IMPD said four teenagers had been walking home when they were approached by a gold-colored four-door car. The teens said several people inside the car robbed them at gunpoint, and during the exchange a 15-year-old boy was shot. He was taken to Eskenazi Health and is said to be stable.

Investigators did not have any further details on the robbers' car.
