INDIANAPOLIS - Police were investigating after a teen was shot -- possibly by accident -- in the buttocks on the city's southeast side Monday evening.
The incident happened at roughly 8 p.m. at a home in the 3800 block of South Randolph Street, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said.
Investigators said a 15-year-old girl had been shot in the left buttock. IMPD said a known male had shot her while playing with a gun.
The girl was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
