INDIANAPOLIS - Police have come up empty-handed months after turning to the public for help in tracking down an 18-year-old man who is wanted for the September murder on the city’s east side. Investigators still urge anyone with details to come forward.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said Oct. 9 that Josiah Keyes (pictured) is wanted for the Sept. 24 fatal shooting of 19-year-old Anthony Lloyd.
Keyes is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Just before 10 p.m. Sept. 24, IMPD officers headed to the 2200 block of Harbor Drive after neighbors called 911 reporting gunshots in the area.
When they arrived, they found Lloyd lying on the ground suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information on Keyes’ location should call homicide detectives at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers of Indiana at 317-262-8477. Or if it is urgent, dial 911. You may also text “INDYCS” plus your tip to 274627.
IMPD said Keyes is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
