IMPD: 2 women shot on city's NE side

IMPD: Injuries were not life-threatening

INDIANAPOLIS - Two women were shot on the city’s northeast side Monday evening, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

The incident happened in the 2000 block of Glenridge Drive just before 11 p.m.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found the two victims alert and conscious, but suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims were able to give officers a description of the suspect and were taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in stable, but serious condition, IMPD said.

Multiple witnesses said the active shooter entered a vacant home, but that ended up being false information.

No other injuries were reported.

The incident happened only a few hours after another double shooting left one person dead.
