IMPD arrests 4 in quadruple murder

INDIANAPOLIS - Four people have been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of four people on the city's southeast side.

Police said Kenneth Rackemann, 24, Samantha Bradley, 20, Valencia Williams, 21, and Anthony Larussa, 26, are associates of the four victims found dead in the 3400 block of South Parker Avenue.

IMPD released the identities of the victims on Friday: Hayley Navarra, 21, Kristy Mae Sanchez, 42, Jacob Rodemich, 43, and Walter Burnell, 47, all of Indianapolis.

"This is a very sensitive and complex investigation," an IMPD spokesman wrote in a news release Monday. "Detectives have confirmed that the victims and the suspects are associates. The suspects went to the house with the intent to rob the victims of drugs and monetary profits from the sale of illegal narcotics. During the robbery, the victims were killed."

Police said one of the suspects was arrested in Burnell's home last year for possession of cocaine and a handgun violation.

All four suspects remain held without bond in the county jail. The prosecutor's office has requested another 72 hours before filing formal charges.
