Indianapolis police were dispatched to three reported shootings within just minutes of one another Wednesday afternoon.
The first call came from the 1200 block of Eugene Street on the near-northwest side, where one person was reportedly grazed by a bullet just after 4 p.m.
The second incident was reported in the 4000 block of Independence Drive on the south side and involved serious injuries. The shooting happened at Capital Place Apartments.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said a man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Eskenazi Health in serious condition.
The third shooting happened near an apartment complex in the 3500 block of East 38th Street, where two people sustained gunshot wounds. The victims' wounds in the 38th Street incident are not believed to be life-threatening.
