INDIANAPOLIS - A body found in a ditch near the 6300 block of Bettcher Avenue on Saturday is that of a 19-year-old woman who had been missing since late February, police said.

Indianapolis police confirmed Sunday morning what family members of Elisabeth Pack told RTV6 on Saturday.

Pack had been missing since Feb. 25, family members said.

"She lived her life every day to the fullest. She did what she could to make herself happy. In doing that, she made others around her happy," said Sean Pack, Elisabeth's brother.

Her family and friends said she was last seen at her boyfriend's house near 60th Street and Michigan Road, less than a mile from where her family said someone found her body.

"It's going to be different without her, but I know for a fact, all these people, she's looking over them right now," Pack said.

Police said officers responded to the call reporting that a body was in a ditch just after 5:30 p.m.

The manner and cause of death will be determined during an autopsy, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS (8477) or text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
