IMPD investigates fatal shooting on city's northwest side

Victim's identity not released

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 2700 block of Westlane Road Sunday evening.

Police said they received a call of an injured person after 7 p.m., and responding officers then located a fatally wounded man in a business at that address.

The nature and location of the victim's injuries have not been disclosed.

Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses but have not yet determined a motive or suspect information, a media release said.
