INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the death of 42-year-old William Taylor who died from severe stab wounds, police said.
Officers with IMPD were approached Sunday in the 3300 block of Guion Court by a female who said she had a friend who needed an ambulance, a media release said.
The officers located an injured male, identified as Taylor, who was suffering from severe stab wounds.
He was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
Homicide detectives questioned 50-year-old Michael Grimes and other individuals present at the scene of the incident.
Police said Grimes was released based on information indicating self-defense.
