IMPD investigates multiple Indianapolis shootings
IMPD: 2 victims critical, 1 victim serious

INDIANAPOLIS - Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to three separate shootings late Tuesday, all within 20 minutes of each other.
One shooting happened on the city’s east side in the 9400 block of 38th Street at 8:35 p.m.
Officials said a male victim was shot multiple times and was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
A second shooting happened on the city's east side near 25th Street and Hillside Avenue at 8:41 p.m.
Police arrived to the scene but could not find a victim. Officials searched the area and found several shell casings, likely fired from a handgun, police said.
Officers said IU Health Methodist Hospital officials notified IMPD that a man arrived at their emergency room with multiple gunshot wounds in serious condition.
A third shooting happened on the city’s west side in the 1800 block of Dexter Street at 8:49 p.m., officials said.
Officials said a man was found lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
