INDIANAPOLIS - A 32-year-old man was arrested this weekend on the city’s east side after he was accused of dropping a young child out of a window, police said.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said just after 11 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of North Catherwood Avenue after an incomplete 911 call from a residence there.
While on their way to the home, dispatchers said they got another call from someone who said a child had been dropped out of a third-story window in the area.
When officers arrived, they said Brandon K. Jordan, 32, answered the door of the third-floor apartment witnesses said was the same one involved. Witnesses told police a 5-year-old boy was thrown out of a window belonging to Jordan’s apartment.
Police said after initial investigation, Jordan was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent and criminal recklessness.
There is no word as to how badly the child was injured or whether he was taken to an area hospital.
