INDIANAPOLIS - A man was shot in the face and in an alley Wednesday afternoon on the city's near-east side, police said.
The shooting was reported just after 12 p.m. near the 3000 block of North Gale St. when residents heard gunshots.
The victim was taken to Eskenazi Health Hospital, but his medical condition was not released.
Few details were released on what prompted the shooting, but police said witnesses saw a gold SUV leaving the scene.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
