IMPD: Man stabbed in leg inside O'Reilly's store

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was seriously injured Wednesday in a stabbing on the west side.

The stabbing happened inside the O'Reilly's Auto Parts located on the 3700 block of North High School Road around 6:40 p.m.

Witnesses told police a male and female were arguing in the parking lot when an unknown third party began a verbal confrontation with the man.

The two men then exchanged words and the third party stabbed the other man in the leg.

The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital in serious condition.

The suspect was described as a black male standing 5'5" – 6' tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a blue, mechanic-style jump suit and armed with a knife.

The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a late-90's style black Ford F-150 pickup truck, with big chrome wheels and large, all-season tires.
