INDIANAPOLIS - A man and a woman were hospitalized after a shooting early Sunday on the city's near-east side.

The shooting was reported just before 4 a.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Brouse Avenue, near 30th Street and Keystone Avenue.

Police said a 31-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were sitting in an SUV when someone started shooting at them, dispatchers said. The woman was shot in the forehead and the man was shot twice in the arm. The victims were able to drive off before stopping at the intersection of 33rd Street and Brouse Avenue.
