INDIANAPOLIS -- A 17-year veteran of IMPD was arrested Thursday on charges of perjury, obstruction of justice and delivering a false sales document.

Officer Michael Hill, 45, is accused of submitting paperwork with false sale prices to the BMV for the purchase of a 2014 Ford F-150 truck and a boat. Police further allege Hill provided false documents related to the vehicle purchases to an investigator.

An arrest warrant for Hill was issued Thursday. He voluntarily surrendered himself a short time later.

Hill was previously arrested in 2005 for driving while intoxicated.

Hill is assigned to IMPD's southwest district. He was immediately suspended without pay with a recommendation for termination.
