IMPD: Teen critically injured in west side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS - Police were investigating after a shooting left a teen injured on the city’s west side late Wednesday.

The incident happened in the 700 block of North Concord Street just after 10:30 p.m.

Officials said a 15-year-old was shot in the chest and was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in critical condition.

Hospital officials said the teen was upgraded to serious condition later Thursday afternoon.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting remains under investigation.
