INDIANAPOLIS - Call 6 Investigators have learned that the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department will announce leadership changes Monday.
Rick Hite is expected to make his mark on his top brass three months after being named chief.
Hite plans to name people to several posts including a new assistant chief, deputy chief of investigations and a new commander of southeast district.
The Call 6 Investigators have learned that the changes have been in the works for several weeks.
The names will be made public Monday afternoon during a planned news conference.
Mayor Greg Ballard named Hite police chief in December, after serving as interim chief for 8 months.
Hite has three decades of law enforcement experience and came to Indianapolis to join the Department of Public Safety.
