INDIANAPOLIS - A west-side shooting put a man in critical condition early Friday.
Justt after 3:30 a.m., a report came in of a shooting at a home in the 1600 block of Countryside Drive. (See map below.)
Officers responded to the scene. A man was taken to Eskenazi Health in critical condition.
Investigators confirmed that two cousins (one male, one female) live in the home, both in their late 20s. The man who was shot is reportedly the ex-boyfriend of the woman, and a friend of the man.
Police also confirmed that the male cousin and the ex-boyfriend had gone out together overnight to a bar.
After an alleged dispute, neighbors said the ex-boyfriend reportedly tried to break into the home and threatened violence.
Police said the ex-boyfriend was shot multiple times in the stomach, but did not confirm who did the shooting.
No identities have been released at this time.
