IMPD searching for south-side bank robbery suspect

INDIANAPOLIS - Police were searching for a man they said robbed a bank on the city’s south side Monday evening.

The bank robbery happened at a Citizens Bank in the 2300 block of County Line Road, near the Greenwood Park Mall, just before 5 p.m., officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

The suspect handed the teller a note implying he had a gun and demanded money, police said. No injuries were reported and no weapon was seen, authorities  said.

Few other details were released.
