INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is already warning people getting to the race this year may be tricky.

With reserve seating sold out, IMS is expecting more fans than usual to use public transportation or services like Uber and Lyft to get to the track.

Uber fare rates automatically increase when taxi demand is higher than normal. If you have the app, you'll be notified when surge pricing goes down again. Despite the cost, IMD officials say Uber and Lyft are good transportation alternatives for race day.

There will also be three shuttles to the track from downtown and one from the airport. Riding the shuttle costs $29 for a roundtrip.
