Ind. woman injured by coal spilling from overturned truck

PIKE COUNTY, Ind. - An Indiana woman was injured when a coal truck overturned nearby while she was on a walk with her husband, police said.
Phyllis Claridge, 74, and her husband Jerry Claridge, 75, were walking along SR 61 in Pike County Thursday morning when the truck crashed, police said.
Coal from the overturned truck struck Phyllis Claridge, knocked her off her feet and pinned her under a metal fence, police said.
Phyllis Claridge was airlifted to an Evansville hospital, and her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The driver of the coal truck was not injured, and police issued him a traffic ticket.
