Indiana Blood Center couldn't fill hospital orders, needs donations

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Blood Center is calling for blood donations after it couldn't meet all hospital orders Thursday morning. 

The four major blood types are:

  • Type A
  • Type B
  • Type AB
  • Type O

Donors must meet a minimum height and weight requirement and be healthy.  There are also reasons donations may be postponed or why you can't donate at all.  Click here for all of the details. 

No matter where you are in central Indiana, there should be an Indiana Blood Center location nearby.
