CINCINNATI - An Indiana man died after falling off of a 16th floor balcony of a downtown Cincinnati hotel overnight Sunday, police said.

District One police confirmed the death of Alexander Crouch, 24, of Fortville, who fell off a balcony onto Vine Street. Roads were closed in the area as police conducted their investigation.

District 1 police believe Crouch was with a bachelor party from Indiana.  

The scene was cleared b 7:45 a.m.

Mick Douthat with the Garfield Suites Hotel released a statement about the incident.

"Our hotel staff was notified that a person had fallen from the building early Sunday morning," Douthat wrote. "Pending notification of relatives, hotel management has not been granted any further information regarding the incident. The hotel's staff is extremely saddened over this news. Our thoughts and prayers are with those families involved."
