Indiana man dies after high water sweeps car off road

Robert Morgan Jr., 64, pronounced dead at hospital

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. - An Indiana man was killed Friday when high waters swept his car off the road in Hamilton County.

Robert Morgan Jr., 64, from Arcadia, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A witness told police Morgan's vehicle was traveling south on Mt. Pleasant Road from 226th Street, where high water was quickly moving across the road.

Morgan's car was swept about 100 yards downstream and was completely submerged, police said.

Water rescuers got to the vehicle by boat and pulled Morgan from the car.
