ALEXANDRIA, Ind. -- Indiana country singer Joey Feek, who was told she wouldn't be able to stand again, walked in her house and spent more than an hour with her daughter.

Feek is in hospice care, battling terminal cancer in her Alexandria home.

In a video posted on her husband's blog, Feek taught her daughter, Indiana, sign language and played with her.

The post also reads,
Before Joey went to sleep this evening, I sat beside her and she told me that for her it’s all come into perspective recently.  She said that when you’re lying in a bed day after day and you can do nothing and you don’t know if you’re gonna be here next Christmas, or next month or even next week… you suddenly become hyper-aware that today… that this moment – is all you have.

Feek said her goal is to make it to the Grammy's after being nominated for her song, "If I needed you."
