INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana State Museum is seeking photos of veterans for a special exhibit for Veteran's Day.

Indiana's veterans and active military personnel will be honored in the museum's Heroes of the Heartland exhibit from November 1 through November 11.

Hoosiers are encouraged to participate by electronically contributing photos of themselves, friends and family members who have served or are currently serving in any branch of the military. Photographs received will be printed and posted on a photo mural at the museum. Photos will also be viewable electronically through the Indiana State Museum’s Facebook page.

Photos should be submitted, via email, by October 21 to kcoyne@indianamuseum.org and include the following information: name, date of service, military division, hometown and nominator’s name. Photos should be between 150 and 300 dpi (dots per inch) at 100 percent.

There will also be live performances and other activities at the Indiana StateMuseum in honor of Indiana's veterans over the 11-day period and the events will be included in general admission ticket prices. There will also be a food drive for the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation.
