BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - A 19-year-old Indiana University student was held at knifepoint and sexually assaulted on campus early Thursday, police said.

The man said he parked his car on the east side of Eigenmann Hall and was approached by a man who asked for directions.

The student told police the man then grabbed his arm and hair and slammed his head up against the car several times, holding a knife to his throat and sexually assaulting him.

The assailant then took off running, the student said.

The man was described as black, between 22 to 30 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build, long hair and a raspy voice. He was wearing a black top and blue jeans.

The student was not seriously injured but was taken to an area hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call Indiana University Police Department at 812-855-4111.
