INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis man has been formally charged in connection to his mother's November death.
William Rainsberger was arrested Tuesday for his alleged involvement in the death of his 88-year-old mother, officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Police found Ruth Rainsberger unresponsive from a head wound on Nov. 19. Police said her son made the 911 call and said he found his mother lying on the floor near the entrance of her apartment.
She was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition where she was later pronounced dead early the next morning.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office has formally charged Rainsberger with murder. Rainsberger was being held at the Marion County Jail without bond.
