INDIANAPOLIS — On Monday evening, RTV6 responded with answers after a viewer sent us a video of all kinds of trash at a Family Dollar on the city's east side.

After viewing our coverage in pursuing answers from the Family Dollar, Dee Ross, the Far East Side Community Council president, issued a call-to-action in the community.

"I went over there and talked to the owners and they said it would take them two to three weeks to get the trash cleaned up," Ross said.

Ross is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Ross Foundation. A foundation that that was founded on creating more effective youth activities and repairing our communities.

"It's time for action and time for us to step up in the community," Ross said. "Not just talking about it, doing something about it."

The cleanup will take place at the Family Dollar on 30th Street and Mitthoeffer Road.

Since it's posting, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful has donated trash bags and gloves to help aide those who choose to help out on Sunday.

Ross is running for City-County Council in District 14.
