SPENCER, Ind. -- An Indianapolis mother's body was found 60 miles away from home last week in a rural creek in Owen County.

Police say 32-year-old Danielle Akers was last seen alive on April 19 or 20 at a gas station at Morris Street and Tibbs Avenue.

Her body was found Friday in a creek in a rural part of Owen County near Spencer, Indiana.

The discovery came nine days after she was last seen.

An autopsy couldn't determine how Akers died.

"At this point, we're trying to get tips on how this individual would have gotten to Owen County and if she knew anyone in Owen County as well, since she's from the Indianapolis area," said Owen County Sheriff's Detective Erich Teuton.
