INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis is one of the Midwest’s best kept secrets. If you aren’t from around here, it’s rare to hear the city brought up in conversation except as a passing note to another destination.

But don't just take our word for it, in recent years the city has been garnering attention from outside its own little bubble.  Including an article from Vogue, which named Indianapolis one of three cities to take off of your ‘flyover’ list.

In their September 13 article titled ‘Don’t Call Them Flyover Cities: Why You Should Visit Kansas City, Indianapolis, and Oklahoma City” – Vogue just barely touches the surface of some of the rich cultural and artistic delicacies that make Indianapolis great.

They call the city 'super modern' and 'walkable.'

Vogue touts the city's farm to table movement, pointing out Milktooth and Bluebeard. It also points out Indy's fashion scene with stores and local boutiques that you find all over town.

The article compares the city’s rich cultural offerings such as the Indianapolis Museum of Art or the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis – both popular tourist stops – along with the unique places to lay your head at night such as Indy’s own Conrad Hotel and Le Meridien.

So there you have it, our city is anything but 'flyover' - In fact, Vogue says people should 'fly-in' just to take it all in.
